UPDATE on June 30th, 2012:: Since we originally posted this story, the need has changed.  Unfortunately, Brayden is still fighting this cancer every single day, but at least his family has found relief for the drug costs.  Their biggest challenge now is figuring out how to support themselves while also being there for Brayden.  Since launching HopeMob we have discovered that families all across the United States are facing this impossible dilemma.  Brayden's family is now on the verge of losing their home.  

Let's quickly pay two months of their mortgage.  It's $980 per month for a total of $1,960.

It is outrageous to us to think that a family WITH health insurance even needs to have a HopeMob project, but this is the world that we live in.

Since launching HopeMob we now receive stories almost every day from parents that need help covering the costs of the REQUIRED meds that their kids need as they fight off awful diseases. Without fail, every one of these parents actually HAVE health insurance, but the insurance either only covers a small amount of the costs or sometimes doesn't cover it at all.

This is the case with Brayden. He is just 10 months old and is undergoing a VERY difficult season of chemotherapy. Many of the prescriptions that he needs aren't covered at all.

One of the meds that he needs is called neuopogen. It fights off a blood infection and is really required at this stage of his life. One round of this medicine, which is 10 vials, costs $2,600. We will cover the cost of one round.

He has already had one round and will need three more.
