Cleaning his grandmother's garage with his family, Fredrick Demetrius Martin Jr. (Freddie Mac as he was affectionately known by his friends) was brutally murdered in April while courageously shielding his 8 year old young son from the gunfire of a random shooting in Los Angeles. Not yet 30 years old, Freddie was a hard
working college graduate that moved back to Los Angeles from Texas to make his neighborhood a better place. He had a beautiful family with a pregnant wife. He was the star of his family. He is our hero. He gave his life to protect his son.
